It was easy to start up, and when it came it did not require a lengthy "charging" with light. I got it fitted at a jeweler, and have worn it every day since. The weight is perfect, not so light that I worry about its quality, and not too heavy. I have never owned a Citizen before, but am quite pleased that I bought this watch. I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
