The hands and hour marks stand out very clearly against the attractive black face (they glow in the dark too). Can't go wrong with citizen, and I know she likes that she'll never have to worry about the battery dying. Only complaint is that they don't provide any instructions on how to take links out (comes a bit big i think for most women's arms) but we just took it to an authorized citizen watch store and he popped them out in a few seconds. She loves it, I loved the price, and it was shipped in perfect condition. Thanks amazon!
