(More customer reviews)The watch got here yesterday, the packing and shipping by the Watch Emporium were flawless. The watch itself comes packaged in a nice white cardboard box with a funny opening, to reveal inside a nice wooden box with the watch itself wrapped around the typical pillow.
In regards to the watch, this one comes rated at 100 mts (10 ATM) with hard mineral glass (although I would have preferred saphire) and looks as good as the pictures..
The craftmanship of the watchcase is very good with the Adriatica symbol engraved on the left side of the case, and the "A" engraved in the crown.
The watchband is of good quality leather, although somewhat stiff (will be softer with time and wear, of course) the buckle is a nice mechanism, as for me, it prevents the watch from falling from your wrist in case it accidentally opens or when you strap it on or off, nice touch.
As for the mechanism itself, it's a quartz powered Swiss Ronda, which should be as reliable as my other Swiss watches, funny enough the diameter of the watch is the same as my Tag Heuer, but as it does not feature the moving bezel, it seems much bigger, although it's still a formal watch to be weared at any occasion, dress or fun.
With all these supposedly "Swiss" watches around, I made sure to investigate Adriatica, they're in the Southern part of Switzerland, close to Italy (that's why the Adriatica name) and have a nice selection of watches they make in their tiny factory in Dongio, Switzerland.
A nice touch by the Watch Emporium is that they took the time to put the right date and time for me, as I live in Madrid, Spain I doubly appreciate the gesture.
A nice watch, with good finish and Swiss craftsmanship for those with an eye for something a little different.
