(More customer reviews)I concur with D. Witham, sorry I don't mean to copy your title but that's *exactly* how this item should be described. This 20mm black band is virtually identical to the original band that came with my older Citizen Promaster Aqualand watch bought back in 1995. I always have all (5) of my Citizen Aqualand watches serviced (battery/pressurization for the 10+ year old ones and pressurization for the newer Eco-Drive ones) serviced at the Citizen World Service Centers and even their own service centers use Made-in-China bands that become brittle and break off after a couple of years. The material of these bands feels far superior in your hands as they are "softer" and more flexible and are probably less likely to become brittle and crack over time. Just think of your soft, quiet Bosch windshield wiper blade versus the squeaky, creaky, hard stock wiper blade and you'll know what I mean. Not only that but I specifically remember that the original band that came with the watch had metal "loops" (not sure what those parts are called; they're the pieces that you slide the band under after going through the buckle) and sure enough these also have metal loops. The cheapo made-in-China bands from the service center do *not* have metal rings but instead have rubber rings that look pretty.. well.. cheap. This replacement band also comes with 2 stainless steel replacement band pins.
One thing that I'm a little confused about is the made in China band used by the service centers specifically says on it "Made in China". These bands however I cannot tell where they were made as there are no markings anywhere on the band whatsoever. I'm assuming that from the quality of it that perhaps it was made in Italy as the title implies?
All in all, very excited to finally find a good quality replacement band that is as good as the original, if not better, and is as durable as my tough-as-nail Aqualand diving watches. I think I'll order another just in case they stop selling these for whatever reason.
