OVER THREE DAYS IT HAS GAINED 15 SECONDS, NOT BAD FOR A $43.00 AUTOMATIC WATCH. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON ORIENT AND THEY MAKE THEIR OWN MOVEMENTS, UNLIKE MOST OF THE OTHER COMPANIES, INCLUDING SOME HIGH END SWISS WATCHES, WHO PURCHASE THEIR MOVEMENTS FROM AN OUTSIDE SUPPLIER. ORIENT IS IN HOUSE ENTIRELY. AFTER SEEING THE QUALITY FOR THEIR INEXPENSIVE MOVEMENT, I WENT AHEAD AND PURCHASED ONE OF THEIR MORE EXPENSIVE WATCHES.
I REPLACED THE CHEAP STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET WITH AN INEXPENSIVE STITCHED LEATHER STRAP STRAP.

I have been tracking the error on this and all my automatic watches for 2 weeks, via the official US Time web page ([...]). This watch has gained an average of 2.5 sec. per day, and my three other Orients have done even better.
